Jeff Capogreco

Jeff Capogreco is a Canadian visual effects supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Capogreco began his career in the mid-2000s in Canada, working as a modeller, lighting technical director, and digital artist on animated and live-action projects such as The Wild (2006), The Ant Bully (2006), and VeggieTales (1993). He later joined Mr. X Inc., contributing as a digital artist and supervisor on films including Death Race (2008), Max Payne (2008), Resident Evil: Extinction (2007), and Shoot' Em Up (2007). After moving to New Zealand, Capogreco joined Weta Digital, where he advanced through roles in lighting, CG, and digital effects supervision. During this period, he worked on high-profile productions such as Avatar (2009), Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), The Adventures of Tintin (2011), The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012), The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013), and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014).
