Yetta Gottesman

Yetta Gottesman is a Puerto Rican actress, director, and audiobook narrator of Puerto Rican and Jewish heritage, born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, where she lived for ten years as a child. She is 5′ 8″ (173 cm) tall and completely fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. A lifetime member of The Actors Studio and LAByrinth Theater Company, she splits her time between New York, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. On stage she originated Celeste in John Patrick Shanley's Where's My Money? and Loretta/Mary Magdalene in Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman at The Public Theater), and received a Best Actress Ovation Award nomination for Mariela in the Desert at the Denver Center Theater (2010).
