Charlie Lynn Spradling was born and raised in Forth Worth, Texas. Spradling began her show business career acting in plays in and around her home town for nine years after joining a local children's theater group. Charlie eventually left Texas and moved to Hollywood, Los Angeles, California in the mid-1980's. Charlie went into the publishing field after calling it quits as an actress: She helped design and launch the luxury direct mail publication The Arroyo Monthly as well as was a senior executive at Pasadena Magazine.
