The Climber
Buntarō Mori has felt a profound attraction to climbing alone since childhood, finding in the mountains something he cannot find among other people. After entering high school, he discovers an abandoned climbing route and decides to attempt it alone, without ropes or assistance. This decision marks the beginning of his journey into the world of climbing, where every ascent demands not only physical endurance but also absolute concentration, self-control, and a willingness to confront his own fears. As Buntarō takes on increasingly difficult peaks, his pursuit of solitary climbing becomes both a test of his personal limits and an attempt to understand his place in the world.
